Woke up looking forward for our ferry ride to Victoria.
Day 3:
We packed and drove out of Vancouver towards the ferry terminal.
However, on our way, we had time to visit the Capilano Suspension Bridge park.
Capillano bridge($37/adult lesser for Doniv n free for davin)
Was quite an awesome place to spend time. Its not just the bridge in itself, they had more to it, the treetops and boardwalks between tree-tops, etc. Its like, it had 2 types of bridges, the Swinging one(Was all freaked out till I reached the other end as the bridge kept swaying and gave me the feeling like a uniform march on it.. would just lead it to break.. yikes!. Was thrilled nevertheless. Felt all natural; like some jungle adventure. Kids were thrilled. I was more thrilled ;) ) and the other was around the rocky mountain, which was stable but was quite a scenic walk.
(2hrs Ferry(BCferries) to Victoria BC.. $240 with car and return for 2adults+1kid. Free for Davin)
The sail was a pleasant experience in itself. We drove into our ferry and went to the upper decks for a clearer view of the water and the sceneries..
We reached our shore at 3:30 pm. And then we realized that we had another 2hrs drive to our resort that we had pre-booked (Orka View Beach Cottage).
Though we were a little disappointed at first, the drive to the cottage was totally awesome. The drive had narrow paths with tree covered with green algae... which was like a drive through some haunted village or forest. And half way through, we realized that we had actually missed the direct highway, which was great, else, we would've missed this haunted driveway! The driveway was looking soo haunted that there was nobody through till we hit the highway again... for around 40 minutes....
Picked some groceries from 'country Grocery'. And drove to our cottage. We had Gladys, an elderly lady who was soo graceful and friendly to invite us to her cottage.
We had to walk down few stairs to actually get to our cottage, and when we walked down, I was literrally screaming as I was sooo excited about the scenery around the cottage. Myself and kids started to scream... We were soo happy, There was a huge barbecue lawn and just below that was our private beach. The beach was filled with pebbles. We decided that the next day, we would go nowhere but would just enjoy the amazing cottage...
Vinu took up the dinner incharge....
and we enjoyed loads of good food in this amazing cottage.
