SNORKELING: Highlight for the day. ******************************************************************************************************
All nervous but yet much awaited activity planned for Maui. Since I don't know much swimming, this was something I dared not do. However, with Vinu's motivation to give it a try, I thought of giving it a try anyway.
Head down Ka'anapali Pkwy, near the end you will see the Sheraton besides which was a coral reef. Beach access parking is on the south end of the property. We hired a trainer as this was the first time we tried something underwater, even without knowing swimming. Mahalo, Caleb - our guide for snorkeling.
Though started all nervous, fell in love with it eventually. To an extent we planned another snorkelling without a trainer in the evening.
This time, we went again to a speed boat guided tour for snorkelling to MOLOKINI island.
Info: Maalaea harbour - Lina Kai boat-12;45-4:30- coral reef under tunnel
We met up and spoke a lot to one of the scuba divers in the boat, marsella. We discussed how scared we wear last evening when we passed via the one-way lane in highway 30.
Back from snorkeling, we had an awesome time with huge turtles near the harbour line. We saw around 20-30 huge turtles as seen in the pics below. Was a splendid view.
After an awesome snorkel and turtle sight-seeing, we relaxed a bit in the room and quickly dressed up again for a quick drive via the "Halaekala" roads to experience the completely cloudy mountains and its beauty.
Hence the divine Halaekala drive.
We gracefully ended the evening with a small snack and a drink for vinu in Tiki lounge.
