With the feeling that we covered every amazing place that needs to be visited in Maui, we ended the tour with a visit to one of the churches in Maui. St Teresa's Catholic Church.

Walked by on the beaches nearby for our final photoshoots in Maui, before we leave back home.

We left Kahului, Maui with a sure thought to come back to Hawaii very soon once again.

Mahalo Hawaii!!

SNORKELING: Highlight for the day.

All nervous but yet much awaited activity planned for Maui. Since I don't know much swimming, this was something I dared not do. However, with Vinu's motivation to give it a try, I thought of giving it a try anyway.

Head down Ka'anapali Pkwy, near the end you will see the Sheraton besides which was a coral reef. Beach access parking is on the south end of the property. We hired a trainer as this was the first time we tried something underwater, even without knowing swimming. Mahalo, Caleb - our guide for snorkeling.

Though started all nervous, fell in love with it eventually. To an extent we planned another snorkelling without a trainer in the evening.

This time, we went again to a speed boat guided tour for snorkelling to MOLOKINI island.
Info: Maalaea harbour - Lina Kai boat-12;45-4:30- coral reef under tunnel

We met up and spoke a lot to one of the scuba divers in the boat, marsella. We discussed how scared we wear last evening when we passed via the one-way lane in highway 30.

Back from snorkeling, we had an awesome time with huge turtles near the harbour line. We saw around 20-30 huge turtles as seen in the pics below. Was a splendid view.

After an awesome snorkel and turtle sight-seeing, we relaxed a bit in the room and quickly dressed up again for a quick drive via the "Halaekala" roads to experience the completely cloudy mountains and its beauty.

We made sure to spot some Nene birds too at a spot.

Hence the divine Halaekala drive.

We gracefully ended the evening with a small snack and a drink for vinu in Tiki lounge.

Not done Exploring Kanapali Highway(#30) completely,..
we wanted to drive and find more and complete that lobe of Maui.

Ohowalu beach with shaded tree birches..

Napili beach- black rock beach

Ritz Carlton visit:

ABC gift gallery:
is one of the best gift stores with huge selections and varied prices to pick some souvenirs. Picked some gifts for family and friends.

Honolua vista point - leech, snail. Was extremely thrilled and excited as I was seeing leeches for the first time in my life.

It was almost getting dark, and we continued further to reach back to Kihei to our accomodation. Ans as we drove, the road narrowed to a single lane.. We assumed that it would end soon, and in a minute when it didnt end... we were freaked out. I finally opened the map to see how long this road would be.. and to our horror.. it lasted for 8 miles. YIKES! Crazy road for few miles ... The road was sooo beautifully dangerous narrow one-car lane with huge mountain walls which could completely scrap our car on one side and continued cliff-line on the other side.

It was now completely dark. Not knowing whether to get romantic or to freak out I started to pray, that the narrow lane ends soon. And as expected, our tension kept the lane longer than it should be. We just hoped that no one comes on the other direction as the road was 2 way(sooo weird). I started thinking a lot about kids, loved ones, and intense prayers began. No signals on the mobile too.. Now we were freaking out. But Vinu kept calm and drove very carefully.. and we were finally out-a there...PHEW! Bk in the room, we talked about that one in a million awesome drives.

Covering the other lobe of Maui today, The Road To Hana.

Started off by drive to Road to Hana, and halted for a quick hike at pipiwai trail

picked some fresh-baked banana breads from jamy during the drive :

Hiked in ini ini trail(must-watch video of our hike). This beautiful trail is a clustered mountain of bamboo shoots with narrow trail that leads to a beautiful waterfall.

After check out... we drove to Kama'ole Beach Park.
With children park n beach. Opt to Maui park shore hotel. A very nice beach with a big grassy park, showers, restrooms, and picnic tables.

Mama's Fish House

One of the most popular hotels for its unique food(Main course menu changes everyday with complimentary menu card for take-home). After a reservation, we still waited around this wonderful scenic hotel clicking loads of pictures. Our sunset today was worth-it at this hotel's awesome beach lobby.
